Here's what to expect

  1. Download the client

    Choose the version for your computer using the platform buttons above.

  2. Install & open

    Run the installer, then launch Clamperz from your apps. Using the Java JAR? Open it with Java 11.

  3. Log in & play

    Enter your game username and password, then click the gold Log In button.

Windows

  • Installing the client

    Open ClamperzSetup.exe and follow the installer. Then open Clamperz from the Start menu — the setup file installs the game.

  • An unfamiliar-app message appeared

    “Unrecognized app” messages can appear for unsigned apps or downloads with limited history. Any questions? Contact us on Discord.

  • “This app can’t run on your PC”

    Clamperz needs 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Check your system and download ClamperzSetup.exe again.

macOS

  • Installing the client

    Open Clamperz.dmg and drag Clamperz into Applications. Then open Clamperz from Applications.

  • On an Intel Mac?

    The .dmg is Apple-Silicon only. Choose Java JAR above instead and install Java 11.

Linux

  • Installing the .deb

    Double-click Clamperz.deb to open Software Install, or run: sudo apt install ./Clamperz.deb. Then launch Clamperz from your apps menu.

  • Dependency errors

    Run: sudo dpkg -i Clamperz.deb, then sudo apt-get install -f to install any missing dependencies.

  • On ARM Linux, Fedora, or Arch?

    The .deb is for 64-bit (amd64) Debian, Ubuntu, and Mint. On other distributions or ARM machines, choose Java JAR above and install Java 11.

Java JAR

  • Install Java first

    The Java JAR needs Java 11 installed separately. Get Temurin 11, then double-click ClamperzLauncher.jar.

  • Double-clicking does nothing

    Open a terminal in the download folder and run: java -jar ClamperzLauncher.jar. This also shows any startup error.

  • “Unsupported Java version”

    Use Java 11 (recommended). The client supports Java 11–22; Java 10 and older or 23 and newer are not supported.

Connection & account help

  • Can’t connect or stuck on loading

    Check your internet connection and the forums for server status. Contact us on Discord if you need help connecting.

  • Update failed

    The launcher falls back to your installed client. Reconnect and reopen Clamperz to finish updating.

  • Launcher won’t start

    Reinstall from the download page — your saved logins and settings are kept.

  • Forgot your game password

    Reset it using the email you verified in game. Type ::email in game to add one.
